After our trip to South Africa, I found myself at a market where these beads were sold. The merchant told me that these iron beads come from Central Africa and for many generations iron in any form was consider money for Africans. Nor easy to find them again. We first created a 2 layer version as you see in black background. The one available for sale is now 4 layers which you can also wear as a necklace.
